LATE BLOOMER PICTURES
My name is Hannah Brooks
I’m a writer, producer and director based in lutruwita/Tasmania, and the founder of Late Bloomer Pictures. At Late Bloomer Pictures we are committed to bold, character-driven storytelling with a strong sense of place.

My work spans film and television, often centred on female-led narratives and underrepresented voices. I’m drawn to stories that are emotionally layered, culturally grounded, and speak to life on the edges — geographically, socially, or psychologically.
A core part of my mission is to raise the visibility of women 50+ on our screens, not as side characters or stereotypes, but as complex, powerful protagonists in their own right. I’m committed to telling stories that reflect their depth, humour, vulnerability, and strength.

Late Bloomer Pictures develops original scripted and unscripted content, bringing cinematic, emotionally resonant stories to life. I believe in the power of storytelling to move, challenge, and connect us — especially when it comes from the edges, or in this case, the edge of the earth, Hobart Tasmania.

We acknowledge the Palawa/Tasmanian Aboriginal peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land of Lutruwita (Tasmania), and the Muwinina people on whose unceded land we work, film, and create in Nip aluna (Hobart). We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Tasmanian Aboriginal people
